Microdots

Microdots are microscopic film particles that are approximately 1,000 microns (either circle or square shape) and have human readable alphanumeric characters printed or laser etched on the surface of the particles.

Each microdot is uniquely encoded with customizable information or standard information such as vehicle identification numbers (VIN Numbers), personal identification numbers (PIN number), asset identification number, etc.

The micro dot is incorporated in a clear carrier such as a lacquer or glue and applied to assets by brush or spray applications. This allows these micro dots to be applied to virtually any surface.

Microdot security is used primarily for asset identification as both an anti-theft solution and means to identify and return stolen property. These anti theft tags are easily implemented in any security protection plan.

Micro-Labels
Micro-Labels

A variation to the microdot technology, Microtrace Micro-Labels are microdots with an adhesive backing for application to substrate just like a traditional label. The small microdot portion of the label is connected to a larger "handle" that can be retained for record. Both the handle and the micro-label are encoded with the same information. The Micro-Labels can be made with archival quality adhesive.
